Description: This course is recommended for students wanting to learn the English language. The ESL component includes a beginning and intermediate level. It covers the four primary language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing through total class, small groups, pairs and individual practice. Direct instruction, peer interaction, individualized self-paced work and computer usage are encouraged.
Description:听 This competency-based course is designed to provide citizenship preparation instruction to prepare Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) for the civics and English (reading, writing, and speaking) components of the naturalization test. This course will include both U.S. history and government (civics) instruction and civics鈥揻ocused English for participants who are in need of education and assistance in completing the citizenship process. This course is recommended for students wishing to achieve their US citizenship who need to improve their reading, writing and speaking skills. This course will cover the four major reading areas (civics, reading, writing, and conversation) covered on the citizenship interview.听听
