In May, our Visalia Service Center hosted its Long Sleeve Open House, welcoming 63 attendees to an afternoon centered on community, food, and resources. Guests enjoyed free tacos, beverages, raffles, and the opportunity to select long-sleeve shirts collected through the AFOP National Long Sleeve Drive.
Long-sleeve shirts are especially important for farmworkers, helping protect against prolonged sun exposure and reducing pesticide exposure while working in the fields.
A special thank you goes to our partner Community Services Employment Training (CSET), which encouraged several of its customers to stop by, learn about our services, and take part in the event.
