Truck Driving Program Celebrates New Class of Graduates

The William M. Maguy School of Education Truck Driving Program recently celebrated the graduation of another successful class of future professional drivers.

This month, 12 students completed the program, and all 12 graduates officially passed their DMV examinations and earned their Class A commercial driver licenses.

The Truck Driving Program is an intensive eight-week training course designed to prepare students for careers in the transportation and logistics industry. Throughout the program, students receive both classroom instruction and hands-on driving experience that helps them build the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely operate commercial vehicles and meet industry standards.

The achievement reflects the hard work, commitment, and determination demonstrated by the graduates throughout the training process. Earning a Class A license opens the door to a variety of employment opportunities within a high-demand industry that continues to play a vital role in supporting local and national commerce.

Family members, staff, and supporters gathered to recognize the graduates and celebrate the completion of an important milestone as students prepare to begin the next chapter in their professional careers.
