During the month of May, our Fresno Service Center had multiple opportunities to partner with La Unica Mexican 100.3 FM Radio Station during the station’s monthly free lunch giveaways for hardworking local crews. Throughout the events, approximately 30 workers were treated to lunch through the radio station’s promotion, creating opportunities for our team to connect directly with members of the community.
While workers gathered for lunch, Fresno staff distributed long sleeve shirts collected during last month’s AFOP National Long Sleeve Shirt Drive. Our Fresno 9i office alone collected more than 100 shirts during the drive to help support farmworkers and outdoor workers throughout the community. Long sleeve shirts provide important protection from prolonged sun exposure and help reduce direct pesticide exposure while working in the fields.
These events served as meaningful reminders of the importance of community partnerships and outreach. Each gathering was filled with good food, appreciation, and support for the workers who contribute so much to our local communities every day.
