On January 17th, the London Community Center hosted Career Day, giving students a hands-on look at exciting career paths. Special guest Thomas Valles, top runner of the legendary 1980s McFarland Cross Country team (inspired the Disney movie McFarland, USA), shared his story and inspired attendees.
The London Leadership Crew helped run the event, while the Tulare County Sheriff鈥檚 Office brought their SWAT truck for an up-close experience. Career reps from Family Health Care, Milian Institute, Air Force recruiters, and others were on hand to share guidance and opportunities.
Eddie Valero, Tulare County Board of Supervisors member and 9i果冻制作厂 board member, joined to celebrate the day鈥檚 success. With decorations, food vendors, and 11 raffle winners, Career Day offered students a fun, informative way to explore their future careers.
